We's in a holding pattern

OK, so last week I got all the lines checked out for episode 106 and was just about to start editing 106's audio when I started getting the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. Well, first of all, I've been having problems with the Super Computer 9000 that has served as the production hub for Wacked for the past year or so. It would shut itself off and turn back on at random times, sometimes not even starting back up at all. Had it checked out last year and the tech told me he was able to reset the motherboard or something, but the power supply was just about shot.

I've had the SC9K for about six years now, so it's been a real work horse. And then to demand HD out of it the past year or so - you have no idea how much the internal fans have been screaming every time I've rendered out a finished episode. That's kinda why it would take 10 hours sometimes to spit out a final QT from Toon Boom.

So, what does this mean?

It means the SC9K is being retired this week and I'm anticipating delivery of the SC9B - 'B' as in Billion. The new machine is going to kick so much ass - this, I promise you.

Episodes should be cranked out a lot faster, and I'll get things back on a normal schedule again. But until then, all I can do right now is keep storyboarding the final episode of Season 1 and be ready to start storyboarding Season 2. It's almost high time to record audio with our awesome cast again and be ready for episodes 107-109.

I'll keep you, the dozens of Wacked fans, up to date as things progress. Until then... Courage.
